Vigga Schottis is a dance that many members of NGLS know as “the Greek Key Reinlender” because of a weaving figure somewhat similar to the border key patterns on old pottery and mosaics from ancient Greece. This is a mixer with a Reinlender rhythm.
Note that Reinlender and Schottis have the same rhythm. It’s more common for Norwegian dances to be called Reinlenders and for Swedish dances to be called Schottis but as this dance shows, that is not a hard rule.
